All the so-called Conservative Leaders are telling you what to do.
Will you obey?(If these guys were wearing white shirts, ties
and name tags it would be too funny!)
Ironic cult free zone
Okay,
I won't mention that Mormonism is a cult in this post. But I find it
funny that Mitt Romney's last ditch strategy for beating Senator McCain
Tuesday is to have all the so-called Conservative leaders tell you that
you should vote for Mitt Romney simply because he's not John McCain.
(As disclosed on today's Hugh Hewitt show. 1st hour.)
[Why not vote for Mike Huckabee or Ron Paul?]
Blindly following the leader. Isn't that like being in a cult?
FLASH: Dean Barnett, speaking on the Hugh Hewit show, mentions a conference call Mitt Romney had with ALL the bloggers today. Wow - that sounds like mind numbed robots to me!
Who are ALL the bloggers? (Fortunately, I'm not on that list.)
I
thought the blogosphere was an independent medium of independent
voices? But apparently there's a large Main Stream Media component to
the blogosphere that's in Mitt Romney's pocket.
Now thought: One wonders if
ALL these bloggers in the blogosphere are getting any of Mitt Romney's
money funneled their way? (Either directly or through blog ads. From a
Mormon friend of a Mormon friend of a Mormon?)
What Rush says
Now,
Hugh Hewitt is claiming that Rush Limbaugh has endorsed Mitt Romney.
Whether he's lying or ignorant (he sometimes corrects himself) I don't know. But it's not true.
Rush
has been very careful to say he doesn't make endorsements in Primaries.
The closest Rush got to an endorsement was a few days ago, where he
said "Well, I'm not going to go for McCain. So you can kind of figure
out who that leaves." (Words to that effect. Running out of time to
pull the tape and get the quote exact. I'm sure one of my very polite
commenters will correct me if I'm wrong.)
Not really a gung-ho recommendation of Mitt Romney, is it.
THINK! (for yourself)
Rush
acknowledges that his listeners aren't mind numbed robots. That we
think for ourselves. That's what makes Conservatives conservatives.
Unlike the Democrats, we're not willing to prostitute ourselves for the
Party. Somewhat like John McCain in the Hanoi Hilton, we'd rather keep
our honor than compromise to get what we want.
Besides, many of
us think we're going to have to stand before God someday and explain
our actions. So you're going to tell God you voted for someone who
thought he could become a god because you didn't want someone else to
win an election?
May I suggest you peruse this blog and think
about ALL the many reasons I've given you to not vote a Mormon in a
White House. There are a lot of secular reasons, so you can ignore the
fact that Mitt Romney is in a cult if you wish. Lots of funny photos
too, so you'll be entertained as well.
Or you can go ahead and follow the leaders. As they say in Mormonism,
"When our leaders speak, the thinking has been done."
