Hugh Hewitt's shrill interview shills for Mitt Romney

Hugh Hewitt wearing Mitt Romney button, shilling

The shrill shill

I've suggested before that Hugh Hewitt is a shill for Mitt Romney. You could hear the outright glee in Mr. Hewitt's voice when he interviewed Mitt Romney earlier this week. (February 19.) As if publishing a (puff piece?) book on Mitt Romney wasn't enough, today's interview with Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani should prove it.

Ya talkin' ta ME?

Monday was Mitt Romney's gratuitous interview. Today was supposed to be Rudy Giuliani's.

So why did Mr. Hewitt keep bringing the name "Mitt Romney" into the mix? Hmmm??? Three times? Mr. Hewitt forced Mr. Giuliani to spend many precious minutes discussing Mitt Romney and Mormonism.

Sorry Mr. Giuliani, but Mitt Romney is no John Kennedy. As a Catholic yourself (kind of), you should know you didn't swear a secret oath to your church like Mitt Romney did. (And does.)

BIAS!

Bernie Goldberg, where are you when we need you?

I've talked before about the irony that the New Media (i.e. Hugh Hewitt) has in such a short time become the Old Media, complete with liberal bias.

As I write this, a fellow Townhall blogger reports how the Old Media (AP) helped Jim Webb win over Senator George Allen. Are we back to the future with Hugh Hewitt and Mitt Romney?

But as with the Old Media "journalists" or someone in a cult, there's no point in asking him if he's biased. He's blind to his bias. He continues to insist he's not endorsing Mitt Romney for President.

Yeah, right. You can hear it in his voice. Mr. Hewitt LOVES Mitt Romney. Like someone in love, he can't stop talking about Mitt Romney, even during a Rudy Giuliani interview.

UPDATE 2/27:  From Hugh Hewitt's February 14th show. Mr. Hewitt rails against PBS and the Liberal media. Says there's no point in asking them about their bias. "They don't know they're doing it. It's like asking fish to comment on being wet. They don't know they're wet. They think they're dry."

Hmmm. Mr. Hewitt sounds fishy to me. And I think he's all wet too.

Vote with your wallet

I've suggested boycotting Mr. Hewitt's book, to send a signal that you disapprove of such blatant bias. But as I prophesied, Mormons are buying it up.

Still, you don't have to buy the lie. Don't be misled. You're only getting a shilling's worth of reporting on Mitt Romney.  Buck the trend. Invest your time studying Mormonism. Learn how it's a "Progressive" (i.e. Liberal) religion. Then you'll know you don't want a Mormon in the White House. You don't want Mitt Romney for President.
