You don't have to be a prophet to foresee the next step in Mitt
Romney's battle plan to silence anyone who says he's in the cult of
Mormonism.
The Raelian's have beat him to it.
To review, the
first step was the knee jerk labeling as "bigot"
anyone who says he's in a cult. Interestingly, the Muslims are using
this first tactic now, as evidenced on Michael Medved's December 4th show, when
Islamic Apologist Jeff Siddiqui debated Victor Mordaci. Every time Mr. Mordaci would state a fact critical of Islam, Mr. Siddiqui launched into an ad hominem attack, saying Mr. Mordaci was "hate filled" and "bigoted." Expect the same from Mormons, Liberals, and liberal 'christians.' (The first two terms redundant, the last term an oxymoron.)
You remember the Raelian's right? They made the Drudgereport when, as if in some Woody Allen movie, they claimed to be the first to clone a human. Most people say they're a cult. What do they say?
To be fair - and like Rush Limbaugh, I provide balance - this will be a somewhat apples and oranges comparison. For, you see, as far as I can tell, the Raelian's aren't a
cult in the extreme mind control sense that Mormonism is. Oh, sure, the Raelian's have a charismatic leader who sets the rules, as do the Mormons, and they probably
love bomb you, like the Mormons do, but unlike Mormonism, you aren't extorted in the criminal sense. Your eternal destiny doesn't rest in the hands of Rael and ultimately in money. But in Mormonism, your eternal salvation ultimately rests on a piece of paper called a
Temple Recommend that, like a Catholic indulgence, comes at a cost.
Utah prosecutors are proving my point as they make the argument that FLDS leader Warren Jeffs is an accomplice to rape because he held "salvation" over the heads of little girls. (See
my post below.) The Mormon church does same. If not in forcing young women to become brides for salvation nowadays, as in Joseph Smith's day (
he also took other men's wives!), they coerce tithes from their members. Contrast this to Jesus' instructions to His disciples: "Freely you have received. Freely give."
In Christianity, salvation is a free gift. Unlike the Liberal PBS double-speak contribution
special, where the free gift isn't really free, in Conservative Christianity, salvation
really is a FREE GIFT. It has to be, because there's nothing you can do to pay off your sins and earn your salvation. If you
try to buy your way in, the One offering the gift gets really insulted and sends you away since His Son died for you and you trivialize His sacrifice with your counter-offer.Even though not as extreme a cult as Mormonism, the Raelian's have a clever disarming response to those who say they're a cult. Like Mitt Romney making fun of polygamy, which still exists in Utah (and Arizona) and which
is still required in Mormon scripture to become a god,
the Raelian's attempt to defuse the stigma, agreeing they're a cult. Of course, they use their own definition of a cult, confusing the matter. You don't have to be a prophet to see Mitt Romney will say the same thing when asked if he's in a cult.
Mormons often say that, by the definition of cult, Christianity is a cult. (Oh yeah? So do atheists!) And since they now claim to be Christian... (Except they have a different Jesus, a different spirit and a different gospel. 1 Cor 11:4)
But the Raelian's don't have a creepy cult warning like this Mormon one, DON'T consider anything critical of the church, which is a sure sign of a mind control cult. (Audio. Self plays. 30 seconds) Nor have the Raelian's codified the above warning, requiring
no contact with others who disagree with church teaching as a condition for salvation, as Mormonism does in their interview for a Temple Recommend.
Yes, Mitt Romney is in a mind control cult. He will joke about it, but it's no joke. You don't want a cultist for President of the United States. There's no knowing how he thinks, who he follows or what he'll do.
