Leave it to the MSM
I would rather not quote the MSM about Mitt Romney. But the fact is, if our guys won't give us the picture, warts and all (Hugh Hewitt), then we have no choice but to get our information elsewhere. At least the MSM isn't blinded because Mitt Romney is a "bright guy." (Michael Medved) They are looking for inconsistencies in those on the Right. If problems exist, they will find AND report them. Actually, that's a good thing. It's supposed to keep us on our toes and we are to be above reproach...
... so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 1 Peter 3:16
Remember how Rush Limbaugh took their fat jokes to heart and decided to lose weight? He turned a negative into a positive.
Like a Rock. NOT!
Hugh Hewitt likes to say it's a good thing that Mitt Romney is now "pro-life." The question is, is Mitt Romney's conversion a real conversion or simply a political expediency? Can we know?
Yes. And the answer is, "No." Mitt Romney's conversion is not genuine.
First, unlike Christianity and Catholicism (and Islam, for that matter) the Mormon church does not teach that abortion is murder. The Mormon church teaches that the "spirit-baby" from their "pre-existence"
doesn't come into the fetus until the baby kicks. That's not until the third trimester. That's when, according to Mormonism, the fetus becomes a baby. I hope to post more in full about the Mormon church and abortion, but for now,
this post will have to do.
Second, remember the timing of all this and that Mitt Romney is a consummate
flip flopper. You haven't forgotten already that he's suddenly become, in this short time, a "lifetime"member of the NRA, have you? That move was only slightly less obvious than John F. Kerry's "Can I buy me a gun here?" ploy.
Even flip flopper John Kerry knows Mitt Romney is a flip flopper! While Mitt Romney likes to point out that he became "pro-life" during his Governorship, when he finally had to think about it, Mormons are like the Russians... they think "5 year plans." I submit that Mitt Romney knew he would be running for President while he was Governor of Massachusetts, just as Hillary used New York as a jump off point for her Presidential run. (Remember, he tried running for Senator too.) And so I think his op-ed piece in the local newspaper announcing his pro-life position was yet another calculated (dare I say, programmed?) move.
Shifty, right?
The story is from ABC,
Romney's Abortion Shift Continues. If preventing the murder of the unborn is important to you (and if you believe in the God of the Bible, this had better be important to you, for God will not hold the land blameless), better find someone who's been on the side of life for a while. Yes, that DOES make them "Holier" than Mitt Romney. Not being a recent "convert," they're believable. (paralleling 1 Timothy 3:6).
Don't be fooled by Mitt Romney's shifts to the right. He's just as likely to drift the other way if elected, as he did once he was Governor of Massachusetts. He is without anchor because Mormonism is without anchor. He, they, and their god change like shifting shadows. With them there IS variation. Don't vote a Mormon in the White House.
Please help me get the Word out, 'cause I can't do it all by myself.
