See, I told you Mitt Romney is a RINO

Mitt Romney sports a RINO horn

Mitt Romney and RINOplasty.

(Any subliminal resemblance to Pinocchio is purely coincidental.)

Secular reasons not to vote for Mitt Romney

As I stated in my post giving a secular reason not to elect Mitt Romney,

while this blog is mostly focused on the spiritual, psychological and legal reasons you don't want Mormon Mitt Romney for President (he's Mormon, so he cannot truly believe and support Christian (Conservative) values; he's in a cult, so of questionable mind; and he's sworn an oath to his church that can conflict with an oath of office), there are other reasons that Conservatives should reject Mitt Romney for President.

Like, he's a Liberal.

I'll let someone else tell you about him this time.

Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan

These quotes from Craig Shirley, president of Shirley & Banister - Public Affairs.
I knew Ronald Reagan. He was a friend of mine. And Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan.

He [Mitt Romney] was at one time pro-abortion; now he says he's pro-life. He was at one time pro-gay marriage; now he says he's anti-gay marriage. He was anti-Second Amendment up until just a couple of weeks ago, apparently when he joined the National Rifle Association, [And] he says now he's for tax cuts; but he raised taxes when he was governor.
From the article, Shirley categorizes all of these moves as "lurches toward the right" that, to him, "seem to be coming for political expediency and not out of deep, profound political conviction."

When it comes to deep, profound convictions, you have to look into a person's heart.

Can a leopard change his spots?

I said these were secular reasons to not vote for Mitt Romney for President. And they are. But there's no escaping that one's deeply held convictions must come from one's spiritual convictions. Here we see that flip flopping is consistent with Mitt Romney's Mormonism. He's comfortable in that skin.

In the Bible, God rhetorically asks the Israelites,

"Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil." (Jeremiah 13:23)

This harkens back to man's fundamental problem. The heart of the problem is a problem of the heart. We all are inherently evil. None of us can do good unless the God of the Bible comes to live in us. (Until we die to self and are "born again" by God.) And so, none of us can have deep, profound convictions unless they come from the God who never changes. I trust, if you're a Christian, you know this. For you can't be saved (given a new heart) unless you first knew you had a heart of stone. Mormons don't understand this.

So not only can Mitt Romney not do good, his problem goes further. The reason he masquerades as a Republican (RINO) is because Mormonism is, by definition, Liberal. Mormons believe in "Progressive Revelation." Their man-god is always changing and so his—and their—rules are always changing. They say polygamy was okay in Joseph Smith's time, but it isn't okay today. What about tomorrow? They look forward to a day when polygamy will be legal. Same with Blacks and the priesthood. First it wasn't okay, now it's okay today. Constant flip flopping. That's why I say Mormons in general are RINO's. The reasons for their convictions are probably not the same underlying reasons as yours.

This is how Liberals are with the Constitution. It doesn't mean today what it meant yesterday. And tomorrow? I trust, if you're a Conservative, you don't want someone whose foundation is built on shifting sand, not on [the] solid rock.

Mitt Romney is no John Kennedy. Catholics don't swear an oath to their church. And he's no Ronald Reagan. He doesn't have Conservative core values. Don't vote for Mitt Romeny for President. He's a Liberal. A Republican In Name Only.
