Fools rush in to help Mitt Romney

Strange bedfellows? Or not?

WorldNetDaily has a story today about how the atheist group Americans United for Separation of Church and State is asking the The Internal Revenue Service to investigate the Florida ministry of Bill Keller, host of the Live Prayer TV program as well as LivePrayer.com for his comments about Mormonism.

Strange that an atheist group is aiding Mormon Mitt Romney. But maybe not so strange.

I'll leave it to others to comment on the hypocrisy of that group not invoking the IRS when the Clintons or other Democrats speak politics at Black churches.

Applying Psalm 1

The first Psalm in the Bible warns
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked...
When God seems silent about what path to take, I often look at what path the world is taking. And then I take the opposite.

This path that the atheists are taking to defend a Mormon speaks volumes.

Don't walk in their counsel! Don't vote a Mormon in the White House. Don't vote for Mitt Romney.

Saint Mark on Mitt Romney

The Gospel according to Saint Mark

GOOD CALL!
"Mark from Colorado" tests Hugh Hewitt
For Christians only

United in Christ

It always amazes me when God's words come alive. For example, say I'm evangelizing to Mormons on the sidewalk at a Mormon event. Someone stops by to talk with me. Within a minute, without ever having met them before or knowing anything about them, I can tell they are not Mormon but, rather, a fellow believer in Christ. And I am SURE!

It's like meeting a long lost brother, whom you knew all your life, except you've never met him before! Yet you can still talk about your Daddy. I trust you've had the same experience.

This is how it should be if those of us in Christ are truly members of the same family. [Children of God, no longer children of the devil. Ephesians 2:3 and 1 John 3:10.] Indeed, the Apostle Paul (a REAL Apostle, not a fake Mormon apostle) said,

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. (Philippians 2:1-2)

Saints and Aint's

And so it was that I could tell, within a minute, that caller Mark from Colorado was a true Christian saint. Not a Mormon Latter-day Saint or someone knighted by the Catholic church as a "saint," but a believer in Christ, called by God to be a saint, per Romans 1:7. He called Hugh Hewitt on the Hugh Hewitt show Wednesday, May 30 and put him to the test.

Listen for yourself and see what you think.

[Just over 3 minutes of dialogue.]

Like minded

I especially liked Mark's first salvo. Without having met the man and assuming he's never read this blog (I would be flattering myself), he expressed his concern that Mr. Hewitt may have a vested interest in promoting Mitt Romney. That Mr. Hewitt is hoping to be Press Secretary in a Mitt Romney Presidency. I had mentioned this at least twice before, in March and again in May. Clearly, Mr. Hewitt has been auditioning for such a position and running interference.... as Mark points out later.

Mr. Hewitt insists he will not ever go back in government. (At least for 20 years.)

Let's see if Mr. Hewitt is a man of his word. (FWIW, I prophesy Mr. Hewitt will go back if Mitt Romney is elected president.)

A heart for the lost

And then Saint Mark demonstrates his real love... a love not shared by Hugh Hewitt. He is concerned that a Mormon in the White House will legitimize Mormonism, making it seem Christian, making it more acceptable, bringing it into the public eye, and therefore, condemning more people to hell. A legitimate concern. It sure will.

In fact, that may be the very reason why Mitt Romney is running for President! He's sworn a secret oath in his temple

that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

I know this sounds bizarre to those outside Mormonism, but you don't know these people. They make long term plans. Who knows that Mitt Romney wasn't called by his church (leaders) to get into politics? What better way to get PR for the Mormon church than to be President of the United States!

A cold heart

Contrast this with Mr. Hewitt's heart. [Know that Saint Mark and I are not in total harmony, for unlike Mark, I am not at all convinced that Mr. Hewitt—who is not sure that Joseph Smith didn't see God and who believes in Fatima— is an "Evangelical." (See Jesus' warning in Matthew 7:21.) But I trust this will become clear over time. Philippians 3:15]

Mr. Hewitt says he doesn't think a Mormon in the White House will supercharge Mormon evangelism.

I'm sorry, there's just no polite way to say this: That's just stupid. (Defined in the Bible as "willfully ignorant.") Clearly a Mormon in the White House will not hurt Mormonism, so the odds favor the status quo or supercharging the Mormon church. What, you don't think that thousands of Mormon missionaries will start conversations by asking the unsuspecting what they think of Mitt Romney as President of the United States? Or pointing out that their church must be true since a Mormon is in the White House "fulfills" Joseph Smith's "White Horse prophecy?" Golly. Even The Wall Street Journal gets it. But Hugh Hewitt, expert on Mormonism, does not.

Fortunately, Mr. Hewitt, like a self appointed Leftist Czar of Political Correctness, has ruled that this is NOT a bigoted objection. Whew! I'm soOOOoo glad.

He restates that he doesn't "think" a Mormon Presidency will have the effect of empowering the Mormon church.

Is he willing to have the blood of all those condemned souls on his head? Doesn't sound very loving to me.

UPDATE: June 7, 2007. Just saw John Gibson's The Big Story on FoxNews. They were interviewing young women, asking why they wanted Hillary Clinton for President. One reason was because having a woman President would empower women everywhere and prove that women in power were okay. So you don't think having a Mormon President would make Mormonism okay?

Con Law con

And then he pulls the Con Law con, claiming that that's not way the "civic 'religion' in America operates," whatever THAT is. And as if it mattered even if it did.

Two questions:

  1. Would you vote a Wahabbi Muslim in the White House?

  2. Would you vote an avowed Satan worshiper in the White House?

Apparently, Mr. Hewitt would. I would not. Religion does make a difference.

Never mix politics with religion?

Further, contrary to the Biblical example, Mr. Hewitt seems to think there's a wall of separation between the spiritual and secular.  He ignores that ne'er do well, the Apostle Paul, who, when on trial before the civic authorities in Rome, dared to mention religion. (See Acts 25)

DING DING DING!

And lastly, Saint Mark shows his discernment by questioning Mr. Hewitt's constant dinging on Fred Thompson's lymphoma.

In the software world, this is a tactic known as creating "FUD." Just what you would expect from a lackey for Mitt Romney.

Good for you brother Mark!

Don't vote for Mitt Romney for President. Aside from the fact that he's in a cult, that he has sworn an oath to that cult to do everything he can to establish it in this country, that his values are not your values, the problem is that Mormonism is not Christian. You should not condone it by allowing a man who says he's Christian, but is not, to be President.

You, the true saints, were commanded to contend earnestly for the faith. (Jude 3) Will you do that? Jesus said, "If you love Me, you WILL obey what I command." Will you obey Him and send a message to the unsuspecting that Mormonism is not Christian? That would be the loving thing to do.

Mitt Romney Talking Points - ad infinitum

Carol Platt Liebau knows the score

Carol Platt Liebau guest hosted for Hugh Hewitt Tuesday, May 29. But apparently, Mr. Hewitt left Mrs. Liebau the talking points and, sadly, the Mitt Romney infomercial continues. I've written before that you can't buy this kind of PR and that Hugh Hewitt is a shill for Mitt Romney. I've heard at least one caller complain about the infomercial, so it's good to see I'm not the only one getting tired of this obvious propaganda outlet for Mitt Romney.

The score is Six

You know how Rush Limbaugh plays audio clips of Liberal reporters, strung together with them saying the same thing over and over again to prove they're reading from talking points? It's sad, but we on the Right can do that too with those who claim to be on our side.

Here's a short clip of Carol Liebau saying the exact same thing about Mitt Romney no less than six times in two hours! It's almost embarrassing. (Well, I would be embarrassed.)

 [51 seconds.]

Fortunately, Hugh Hewitt's cadre of Mormon callers must have slipped up. Refreshingly, no one took the bait that day to call in about what a great man Mitt Romney is. (NOT!)

Is the Mormon church a charity?

Mrs. Liebau doesn't say which "charity" Mitt Romney will be giving to, but in the fifth clip, she slips and says Mitt Romney "is going to donate his salary to THE... ah ... "charity"..." (Emphasis mine.)

Could that "charity" be "THE Mormon church?" Inquiring minds want to know.

You know, the Mormon church, being a cult, is money hungry and demands 10% from its members if they want to be gods someday. One could call it extortion. A sign of a cult. That Presidential salary of $400,000 would come in handy to earn his godhood.

(To be fair, most American christian churches are also money hungry, although your salvation doesn't depend on them or what you give.)

What did the REAL Jesus say about giving?

I've been trying to warn you that Mitt Romney 's jesus is NOT the same as the Jesus of the Bible. Here's more proof that he doesn't really believe in the same Jesus as Christians.

The Jesus of the Bible warned
when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Matthew 6:2-4

Again, to be fair, a LOT of Christians need to obey this command too.

Christian, do you write off your "giving" as a deduction on your taxes , announcing to the government what you are doing? To receive a short term reward? I tell you, you will have received your reward in full.

Or, does your left hand not know what your right hand is doing. And your'e a cheerful giver.

So Mitt Romney has received his reward and will be honored by men. Hugh Hewitt. And at least one woman. Mrs. Carol Liebau. Let's make sure he continues to receive his reward in full. Don't put a Mormon in the White House. Don't elect Mitt Romeny for President! You may be helping his false church with your money.

TIME magazine almost gets it right about Mitt Romney

parody of TIME mag cover showing Mitt Romney on Red Phone

TIME reporter almost gets it

When the red phone rings, will it be Salt Lake calling?
"Honey, it's the Living Prophet on the phone!"
(A parody of a TIME mag cover.)

Questioning Mitt's fitness for office

Hugh Hewitt asked Time reporter Nancy Gibbs if she "could point to a single religious view that Mormons hold that would directly call into question Mitt Romney 's fitness for office?" (May 11, 2007, 1st hour.)

Uhhh... what about that secret temple oath, called the Law of Consecration?

Pregnant pause

For someone who's been a reporter for 22 years, I'm surprised that she's obviously never thought about this before. Especially because she's supposed to be such an expert on religion in presidential elections and supposedly researched Mormonism for her article on Mitt Romney. Listen to the pause when she says, "Huh..." And then listen to her answer. She's very close.

[43 second audio clip.]

So Close!

She almost gets it! She should have said, "Well, you know, Hugh [and Hugh DOES know... he just won't tell you as he runs interference for Brother Romney], Mormons swear this secret oath of allegiance to their church in their temple ceremony, known as the Law of Consecration. It used to include a blood oath, until they changed it. It goes like this:
You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the law of consecration as contained in this, the book of Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.
And that, Hugh, is disqualifying for office. You cannot swear an oath to your church and swear an oath of office. You will either uphold one or the other."

A distinction without a Difference?

But she's close enough for government work. She says a legitimate question is what happens if the leader of the Mormon church, who Mormons REALLY believe is a "Living Prophet," weighs in strongly on some issue that touches on your conduct in office.

When the Red Phone rings

This is hard for people who aren't in a cult, who don't blindly follow their leader (i.e. non-Mormons) to imagine, but imagine you really thought there was a guy in Salt Lake City who was a living prophet, who spoke with your god, and therefore (you thought) had all the answers. Now imagine there's some HUGE crisis in your life. Except you're the President and that huge crisis doesn't involve only you, but the whole country.

If it just involved you, no one would care if you called the your prophet. But when it involves the country, we care.

So when the Red Phone rings, will it be the Prophet calling? And what will you do? Tell him to take a hike?

I don't think so.

Calling John Kennedy

sketch showing Mitt Romney not equal to John Kennedy

And then Nancy Gibbs did what a lot of people do. She tried to compare Mitt Romney to John Kennedy. I've already written at length about this. Mitt Romney is no John Kennedy! Catholics don't swear an oath of allegiance to their church!

Don't vote for Mitt Romney. Don't put a Mormon in the White House. He may eventually lie and tell us he won't take orders from Salt Lake. (According to Hugh Hewitt, Mitt Romney has already said this in Mr. Hewitt's book.) So then he won't keep his temple oath before god? Then why should you believe he'll keep his constitutional oath?

The double minded Mitt Romney: More Awful than polygamy

photo of Joseph F. Smith and his polygamous family

The Mormon polygamist Joseph F. Smith,
his 6 wives
and 48 children.

So Mitt Romney, on 60 Minutes, claims
... I must admit I can’t imagine anything more awful than polygamy.
What about lying?

Doubleminded

Look, this is just pandering— and lying— to the "Evangelical Right," pure and simple. Mormons don't really believe polygamy is wrong, as Jesus and Christians do.

First, the founder of their cult, Joseph Smith, was a polygamist. He had at least 33 documented wives! If polygamy is awful, then logically, Joseph Smith must be awful.

And you know what Jesus said: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:15,16

CULT WARNING

At this point, all good Mormons will try to justify polygamy, citing Kings David and Solomon and their many wives. As if that makes it right.

But Joseph Smith was an adulterer too. Many of his "wives" were already married. King David was condemned for his adultery with Uriah's wife, Bathsheba. Not so Joseph.

His fruit is rotten.

Second, polygamy is "necessary" in Mormonism. It's codified in their "scripture," and it's logical in their theology. How can a god-man expect to populate his planet in any reasonable time, given that Mormon false apostle Orson Pratt said that the

it is altogether probable that that period required for the formation of the infant spirit, is of the same length as that required in this world for the organization of the infant tabernacle.

In the first link, above, the writer notes "Even if there were one spirit baby born per day it would take more than 27 million years to get there."

Wow, the Mormon man-god must be busy. How does he find the time (or the energy) to do anything else? Does he take celestial Viagra?

Third , they believe that their jesus was necessarily a polygamist, for the "true gospel" hadn't been lost yet. when he was on the earth, right? In fact, Mormonism teaches that the marriage at Cana, where Jesus turned the water into wine, was one of HIS weddings! From Mormon false apostle Orson Pratt,
...the great Messiah who was the founder of the Christian religion, was a polygamist,... the Messiah chose to take upon himself his seed; and by marrying many honorable wives himself, show to all future generations that he approbated the plurality of Wives...God the Father had a plurality of wives .... the Son followed the example of his Father, and became the great Bridegroom to whom kings' daughters and many honorable Wives were to be married. We have also proved that both God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ inherit their wives in eternity as well in time;... The Seer, p. 172
And
It will be borne in mind that once on a time, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and on a careful reading of that transaction, it will be discovered that no less a person than Jesus Christ was married on that occasion." (Journal of Discourses, Vol.4, p.259)

Lying for the Lord?

Fourth, Mitt Romney lied when he said that Polygamy was outlawed.
Look, the polygamy, which was outlawed in our church in the 1800s, that’s troubling to me. I have a great-great grandfather. They were trying to build a generation out there in the desert. And so he took additional wives as he was told to do. [Told by whom? God? The church? Is there a difference? And polygamy is okay sometimes but not others? Like murdering babies, Mitt?]
What Mitt Romney is referring to is the so-called "Official Declaration" tacked on to the end of  one of their 4 scriptures, the Doctrine and Covenants. I suppose, in the mind of a Mormon, that makes it equal to scripture. But it's not.

Like Executive Orders, it could just as easily be rescinded with another Offical Declaration. Or dropped into the "memory hole" entirely, like so many things in Mormonism.

One wonders why they just didn't change their scripture as they've done elsewhere. Or why they didn't just cite their own Book of Mormon, where Joseph Smith originally condemned polygamy. (Jacob 1:15; 2:23,24,27,31;3:5; Mosiah 11:2,4; Ether 10:5,7) But then, they really don't believe the Book of Mormon, since few of their doctrines come from it and many contradict it.

Like father, like son

In the Declaration, there's lying by church leaders. (In that they are not teaching polygamy. It's a tenant of Mormonism!) At least Mitt Romney is consistent.

Further, if you read the Declaration, you see that polygamy has only been put on hold. ("For the time specified.") That's because, according to their scripture, "touching the principle and doctrine of their having many wives and concubines," their god gave Joseph Smith an "everlasting covenant" regarding polygamy. (D&C 132)

Now, how long is "everlasting?" In the Liberal world of Mormonism, where words don't mean things, Mitt Romney  doesn't believe that "everlasting" means "forever." (Of course, their "celestial marriages," where Mormons are sealed for ALL time and eternity aren't forever either, if the church dissolves them.)

By the way, did you notice another Liberal trick here that further proves Mormonism is Liberal?

Instead of using the word "polygamy," which most everyone knows viscerally is wrong , they do what all good Liberals do. They use a different word. Everyone knows murdering babies is wrong. So Liberals took a page from George Orwell's 1984 and changed the language. Call it a "fetus" and it's not a baby you're murdering. Call it "abortion," and it's not murder.

Likewise, Mormons call it "plural marriage" and it's not nearly as bad as polygamy.

Yeah, right.

A man of faith?

But you see, the reason they put polygamy on hold was because our government ruled it illegal.  That they will obey the law of the land... until, of course, such day that law is changed. So if the ACLU sues after the Warren Jeffs trial and shows that any laws against polygamy violate the so-called "separation" between Church and State, then Mormons everywhere will gladly re-engage in polygamy. It will be okay once again.

You know, in the Bible, when Peter and John were told not to speak of Jesus, they responded by saying,
Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.
If polygamy is really from God, then Mitt Romney should have the courage of his convictions, like the radical Muslims, to own up to it and practice it. Instead, he's lying about it. I know all politicians lie, but lying about your god is too much.

Don't vote for Mitt Romney. You can't trust what he says. Don't put a Mormon in the White House. You don't want a bunch of wives for first ladies.

For more info on this awful requirement in Mormonism that Mitt Romney despises, see "More wives than a Mormon."

Are there enough who believe in God to defeat Mitt Romney?

Al Sharpton with a halo

The "reverend" Al Sharpton gets one right.

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while

I find it strange that I should be defending Al Sharpton (who is no reverend). No doubt you've heard the sound bite. It's been playing all week. Al Sharpton said, at a religious debate Monday
As for the one Mormon running for office, those that really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don’t worry about that, that's a temporary – that's a temporary situation.”

Branded

And for that, he's branded as a "bigot." By the Right. What's wrong with this picture?

You mean we can't discuss whether Mormons believe in God without being called a bigot? Can't discuss whether Mohammed really saw the angel Gabriel who dictated their god's words? Are you sure you want to go down this road Christian? No more Evangelical outreach, which necessitates warning people that if they're not worshipping our Jesus they're destined for eternal punishment? What's next? Can't tell a homosexual they're in sin?

Michael Medved doesn't get it with respect to Mitt Romney, but at least he gets it when it comes to use of the "B" word. He points out there's a difference between race and religion. It's bigoted to question a person about their race. They can't change their skin color. But it's quite different to question a person about their religion, because you CAN change your religion.

Plus, there's the hypocrisy factor: Everyone takes shots at Tom Cruise and his Scientology. So why can't we takes shots at Mormonism?

But I told you back in November this was Mitt Romney 's battle plan. (Guess that makes me a prophet, huh?)

"I do not want you to be participants with demons."

That's what the Apostle Paul (a real Apostle, not like a Mormon apostle) wrote to the Corinthians. (1 Cor 10:20) It's basic Christian doctrine that if you're not worshipping the God of the Bible, you're worshipping the devil.

More specifically, if you're not worshipping the Jesus of the Bible, then you are still a child of the devil, as were we all. ("No one who denies the Son has the Father" 1 John 2:23 and Eph 2:3)
I've documented over and over again how the god(s) of Mormonism is not the God of the Bible. But I'll let a Mormon tell you himself. I'll search for the audio from Hugh Hewitt's show, but a Mormon caller said something like "The problem is the God of Christianity is incomprehensible." (Which is true, but the Mormon was implying that was a stupid concept.) And the Mr. Hewitt cut him off.

Mormons believe in billions of gods. They think they can become gods themselves. Their god of this world (which, ironically, my God says is Satan) has a "body of flesh and bone as tangible as any man's." In fact, their god is nothing more than a puny little man. He came to earth to have sex with Mary so that Jesus his "son" could be born. Google for yourself and see.

I was glad one Christian is not compromising on this. (Wait to see who jumps all over him. Jesus warned that, as the end comes, "'brother' will betray brother." (Matt 10:21) And not everyone who says "Lord, Lord" will inherit the kingdom of heaven. (Matt 7:21)

From WorldNetDaily, Bill Keller correctly writes
The teachings of the Mormon cult are doctrinally and theologically in complete opposition to the Absolute Truth of God's Word. There is no common ground. If Mormonism is true, then the Christian faith is a complete lie. There has never been any question from the moment Smith's cult began that it was a work of Satan and those who follow their false teachings will die and spend eternity in hell.

I have watched in horror over the past weeks as one evangelical Christian leader after another has either endorsed, supported, or just as bad, refused to denounce Romney's run for the White House and those Christian leaders who support him," Keller writes. "Last weekend Pat Robertson, founder of CBN and Regent University, had Romney deliver the keynote address to the graduates of Regent. Regent is one of the great Christian colleges in this nation, and Robertson allowed this cult member to deliver the commencement address.

A Satan Worshiper for President?

Suppose someone were an avowed Satan worshiper. Would you put a Satan worshiper in the White House?

Mitt Romney may not realize he's worshipping Satan, but he is. Would you want a Mormon in the White House?

I've written about this before. Mit Romney 's faith is upside down.

Another Mitt Romney flip flop

Battlefield Earth bookcover and Huck Finn cover flipped

Mitt Romney flip flops on favorite book
So which is it?
Battlefield Earth or Huck Finn?
(Click to listen)

Belly flop?

Mitt Romney did it again. This time he flip flopped on his favorite book. Well, not really a flip flop... more like a flop.

Hugh Hewitt, unofficial campaign manager of the Mitt Romney for President campaign and future Press Secretary for Mitt Romney, basically told Mitt Romney that he [Mitt Romney] blew it and sounded stupid when asked about his favorite book. If you didn't hear about it already, Mitt Romney's favorite book, Battlefield Earth, is also written by a cultist and founder of a false religion, L. Ron Hubbard. Just like Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. (And the battle between the Lamanites and Nephites?) At least he's consistent. He's consistent in his authors and consistent in his flip flopping.

But now, when given a second chance, Mitt Romney says that his favorite book is Huckleberry Finn. Just like Mormonism and Liberalism... constantly changing. (Click on the image above to hear the flop.)

OH, COME ON. What a Come on!

After posting this, I did some more research. I found someone beat me to it, citing this as yet another Mitt Romney flip flop. In a blog quoting the Boston Herald, the story says that Mitt Romney claims his favorite book is the Bible. Oh, yeah? Hey, Mormons, what do you think (not feel) about that?

Why didn't he say the Book of Mormon is his favorite book? After all, you Mormons know that, according to Joseph Smith, "the Book of Mormon [is] the most correct book of any book on earth [more correct than the Bible], and the keystone of our religion and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book [including the Bible.]"

And Mormon, you know your Eighth Article of Faith. That
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly;
we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. [PERIOD!]

So by all accounts, a good Mormon should favor the Book of Mormon far above the Bible since the former is supposedly the word of God and the latter is only a miserable mistranslated mishmash. And yet Mitt Romney didn't claim the Book of Mormon as his favorite book. He said the Bible. But according to Mormonism, you can't get very near to God by reading the Bible.

Do you think he's pandering to Christians? (The so-called "Evangelical Right.") Does he remember his lessons from the MTC, to not give us the meat?

Is he lying?

Belly laugh?

It's not like me to pick on personal characteristics, but have you noticed Mitt Romney's laugh? As John Harris of Politico dot com said on Hugh Hewitt's radio show (Friday, May 4), Mitt Romney seems "too programmed." Good word to describe someone in a cult.

FUNNY AUDIO. Feel free to pass this short funny clip around the web. Let's see if it bounces back.

Like "Data" on Star Trek Next Generation, when you view Mitt Romney's laugh on the computer, each "ha" is perfectly timed and sounds just like the last! Talk about programmed! Remind you of anything?

Don't vote for Mitt Romeny for President. Like Mormonism, he's only a pretty facade. And he's constantly "progressing."

Mitt Romney 's sister just wants to slit her throat

Former Mormon gestures slitting her throat per the Mormon temple ceremony

Former Mormon demonstrates Mormon Blood Oath

Sinister?

So Hugh Hewitt is on his high horse on his radio show today, acting as both Czar of Politically Correct Speech and Defender of the Mormon Faith. (Warning Will Robinson! Mormons will not let you say what you want!) He is arguing that it's ungood for Mormonism to be called a cult because "in the modern vernacular it [cult] means sinister. And the Mormons just are simply not sinister."
Oh yeah?

Are secret blood oaths to keep secrets "sinister" to you?

In the recent PBS Frontline series on The Mormons, which aired earlier this week, a former Mormon (above) talks about the oath of secrecy.
you made this sign of disembowelling yourself and then also slitting your throat. And you made this in conjunction with a promise that you made, that you would never reveal what goes on in the temple, you would never reveal any temple rituals.
Mr. Hewitt, who claims to be an expert on Mormonism, and who claims to be fair minded, not biased at all toward Mormons, feigns lack of knowledge about this blood oath. I have an audio clip where a former Mormon calls into the Laura Ingraham show when Hugh Hewitt is plugging his book. The former Mormon mentions the blood oath, but Mr. Hewitt remains silent. Then a Mormon caller follows, who says he's been through the temple, claiming to not know about any blood oath. (See Lying for the Lord.) And Mr. Hewitt just laughs.

I'll post the audio when I can catch up.

Then, in the PBS puff piece for the Mormon church, a Marlin K. Jensen, cited as an LDS Church Historian, gives the typical Mormon cult explanation and obfuscation that
it is in a SENSE secret, because we don't talk about it outside the temple. We do that ONLY because it's a sacred thing to us.

Liar, Liar, it won't be just your pants on fire!

What a liar. It's not secret in a "sense." IT'S A SECRET, PERIOD! They are told it's a secret in the ceremony! Review the woman's quote above. Listen to the temple ceremony for yourself!

They don't keep it a secret ONLY because it's sacred. (Which it's not. To the God of the Bible, the Mormon temple ceremony is blasphemous.) Rather, they keep it secret ONLY because of the aforementioned blood oath! That they would rather have their brothers kill them than reveal the secrets in the temple! Isn't that the quintessential nature of a cult?

DOUBLE MINDED CULT WARNING

Mormons ALWAYS invoke this "it's secret not sacred" sophistry. As any Mormon why they don't talk about temple ceremony. They ALL say the same thing. That's how you know Mormonism is a cult. That's one characteristic of a cult. Another sign of a cult is the illogical double-mindedness inherent within.

For example, the Book of Mormon claims to be a "sacred record" of an ancient people, yet Mormons promulgate that "sacred" thing all over the world. If they don't talk about the temple ceremony ONLY because it's sacred, then likewise, they should not talk about the Book of Mormon.

The sinister Mitt Romney

Mormon Mitt Romney has sworn this blood oath. Yes, this blood oath was removed in 1990, when the temple ceremony was changed. (Like George Orwell's "memory hole," younger Mormons will never know about it.) But he's still under that oath. Ask him about it. Just like a Mason, he won't tell you.

He's also sworn an oath of allegiance to the Mormon church, which is still in the ceremony today.

Do you really want a cultist, who's sworn these sinister oaths, as your President?

Don't vote a Mormon in the White House. Don't vote for Mitt Romney. It would be a bloody shame.

Life in a Mitt Romney world (Round 2)

Refreshingly Candid

I've been trying to warn you what it would be like having a Mormon (in this case, Mitt Romney) for President and letting his Mormon cronies run things. How about if I let a Mormon warn you instead?

On the assumption that a microcosm of Mormon life in a small town scales to what life would be like in a Mormon country, here is a refreshingly candid comment from a Mormon in a local newspaper in Northern Arizona. You need to know that Northern Arizona borders Utah. And that means... Mormons rule.
You have small familys [sic] and we have large ones, so our voting block will always out number yours here. That is the Will of God.

Yes, There are a few who come up here and stir up trouble demanding we do things your way and at some point they end up sitting in front of a loyal LDS jury. Then when they are sent away the trouble is over. We use the Laws up here too.
You can read the dialogue between the Mormon locals, some Mormon outsiders and some non-Mormons at VMICentral.com.

Don't be a Blockhead

The Mormon voting block has ALWAYS been a concern to non-Mormons. Why? Because Mormonism is a cult, just like that cult in Oregon years ago that took over a small town, renaming it Rajneesh, after their leader.

Cults, by definition, vote in blocks, usually for their leader, because the members think as one and are devoted to their leader. This was the problem in Nauvoo, IL, where the Mormons swooped in and voted Joseph Smith as Mayor. And then he abused his power to destroy a local newspaper and was put in jail awaiting trial for treason. (Let's see if PBS tells you about that.)

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Don't repeat the past by voting a Mormon in the White House. Don't vote for Mitt Romney for President. Listen to what the Mormon in the small Mormon town is telling you.  They all think alike. They all follow the leader. They truly are "mind numbed robots" as opposed to true thinking Conservatives.

Top Ten Reasons to not Vote for Mitt Romney

Parody of Letterman's Top Ten List from Salt Lake City

Top Ten Reasons to not vote Mormon Mitt Romney for President

These were written by a former Mormon (now Christian) and so have a Mormon bent to them. Like Yiddish jokes, it helps if you know the Mormon culture. But they're still funny... because they're true.

  • Number 10: Washington, D.C. renamed to Washington D & C

  • Number 9: Zarahemla will be declared the sister city of Washington D & C. (If only they can find it.)

  • Number 8: Declaration of Independence changed to read "Life , Liberty and the Pursuit of godhood."

  • Number 7: Statue of Joseph Smith will replace Jefferson Memorial

  • Number 6: All Mormon temples will be declared Historical Sites and require secret handshakes for entry. (Oops. The latter is already true.)

  • Number 5: "Liberty" Statue on Capital replaced with Angel Moroni. (Or was that Nephi?)

  • Number 4: Replicas of Golden Plates placed in Smithsonian. Reformed Egyptians hired to read Reformed Egyptian.

  • Number 3: Free showings of "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration" at all National museums and broadcast on continuous loop on PBS and NPR. (The worst of two evils.)

  • Number 2: Constitution will be true only as far as it is translated correctly. (You heard it here first!)

And the Number 1 Reason to not Vote a Mormon in the White House:

  • Number 1: Christian "Anti-Mormon" literature will be declared "Hate Speech," a felony crime punishable in Spirit Prison.

Oh, wait. That's not funny.

But it's true.

Watch out Christians. If you don't know anything about Mormonism, you don't know what you're getting in to. Mormonism is NOT Christian.  Don't put a Mormon in the White House. Don't vote for Mitt Romney. It won't be funny then.

Life in a Mitt Romney world

Blind Guides

Hugh Hewitt, defender of the Mormon faith, who claims to know EVERYTHING about Mormonism as he shills for Mitt Romney promoting his one sided book, denies Mormons discriminate against non-Mormons. In Utah, or anywhere else.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. Just two weeks ago there was yet more discrimination in Utah against Christians in a LONG list of abuses, as those of us involved in this ministry can testify. (As in "I bear you my testimony.")

The Truth shall set you free

As reported in an exclusive at WorldNetDaily two weeks ago, some Christian Bible students were harassed in two towns in Utah by local authorities while handing out DVD's door to door. From the report,

An officer with a state police force has confronted a team of college students on a spring break missions trip, telling them that handing out Christian literature is "shameful."

In Pakistan? India? Perhaps Syria? Nope. In Utah. Not only that, but a second officer, this one with a local police force, confronted the same students just a day later, telling them that handing out such information was "looked down on here."

Ye Hypocrites!

I hope it isn't lost on you that thousands of Mormon missionaries go around door to door doing the SAME thing!

In a Mitt Romney world, that's okay for Mormons. But not okay for Christians.

This is typical cult mentality. Mormons think they will be gods someday, and some of them think they're already there, ruling on this earth.

It's even more ironic because Mr. Hewitt tries to make a claim in his book that "discriminating" against a Mormon for President now will embolden the press later. He is blind to the fact that Mormons discriminate all the time against Christian Evangelists, and putting a Mormon in the White House will not bode well for Christians who reach out in ministry to the lost Mormon people.

Don't vote for Mormon Mitt Romney. Don't put a Mormon in the White House. Unless you've been in the Christian ministry or lived in Utah or another Mormon enclave, you really don't know what you're getting into.

Mitt Romney 's jesus sweats it out

The mormon jesus sweating blood in the garden

The Mormon jesus sweating in the garden.

This post is for Christians only.

What's wrong with this picture?

As we approach the traditional celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus, THE central miracle in the Bible (because it proves He was who He said He was), it's good to reflect on yet another, and very important, difference between the Jesus of the Bible and the jesus of the Mormon church. Namely, where did the atonement for OUR sins take place? The Bible has one answer. The Mormon church another. The difference is black or white, heaven or hell.

My question isn't exactly fair, because the Mormons deny that Jesus died for our sins. According to Mormonism, Jesus only died for Adam's sin. Like Catholicism, they teach we have to work the rest of our sins off ourselves. But still, we can talk about the where the atonement took place.

It's fair game to talk about this because, you see, in Mesa, Arizona, the Mormons will be putting on an 'Easter' Pageant all this week. Billed as the "World's largest annual outdoor easter pageant," their production will draw about 50,000 lost souls for the week. (If you're in the area, why not come by and pray for the Evangelists there?)

Since they'll be promoting their version of their jesus, I have a duty as a Christian, per Jude 3, and, in this country, a right, to promote the Biblical Jesus. (Until either the Mormons or the Muslims take over, that is.)

Now, I hope as a Christian you know where the atonement took place for your sins. You can hardly miss it, it's repeated over and over again in the New Testament.

Behold the (Passover) Lamb of God!

These were John the Baptist's words when he saw Jesus coming to be baptized. (Something Jesus didn't have to do, since he was sinless. But in order to identify with sinful man, he lowered himself to this act of contrition.)

The writer of Hebrews, at the end of Chapter 9 and the beginning of Chapter 10 tells us that "the Law," that is, the first 5 books of the Bible, were a shadow of things to come. God used imagery in the Old Testament to point to Christ in the New. And so the whole point of the Jewish Passover lamb and the command to continually celebrate the Passover by slaughtering an innocent lamb was pointing to the final and greatest Passover "Lamb," Jesus the Christ.

Now, a simple question. On the night of the Jewish exodus, when did God pass over the sins of the Jews? Or in other words, when was the atonement made? Was it when the lamb was still alive, perhaps sweating drops of blood? Or was it after the lamb was slain, its blood shed in death? Obviously, it was the latter. God didn't pass over the houses in Egypt unless there was blood on the door post. Blood from a totally innocent lamb who was sacrificed to cover the sins of everyone in that household.

In the same way, our sins weren't atoned for until Jesus died on the cross. That's where He was slain.

But the Mormons don't get it. They totally miss the message of the cross and instead focus on an obscure medical comment Dr. Luke makes in his Gospel. That's the passage where Luke tells us that Jesus was in such a state of anxiety, knowing what was coming (but hadn't happened yet—remember, when the mob came, Jesus was still able to bowl them over with a single breath), that His blood pressure was so high that His capillaries broke and he "sweat" blood. Today's medical terms for this is "hemathidrosis" and it would have been a fascinating phenomenon for Luke, a physician.

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy

Now, one of the neat things (albeit sad) about being an Evangelist is that you get to see the Bible come alive. It never ceases to amaze me how prophetic our God is and how His words continue to ring true. Take, for example, this passage of Scripture:
For the message of the cross is foolish to those who are perishing..." 1 Corinthians 1:18
It was true when the Apostle Paul (a REAL Apostle) wrote it. And it's still true today. Despite the many references to the cross in the Bible, Mormons don't get it. Satan has blinded their minds and their hearts. This is why you don't see any crosses on Mormon church buildings.

The Old Rugged Garden?

Instead of the old rugged cross, Mormons focus on the garden. Of Gethsemane. Here's a quote from their easter pageant.
... his sweat was, as it were, drops of blood, falling down to the ground. For the savior suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer, IF they would repent. ...

In a way inconceivable to man, the savior willingly took upon himself [NOTE THE TENSE] the sins of all mankind, that all might have the opportunity to repent.
Note that, being in the Garden, we haven't gotten to the crucifixion yet, but according to Mormonism, their jesus has already taken on himself the sins of all mankind. (In previous versions of the pageant, before 2000, they used to say something like, "and thus the atonement was made.")

So while it's true that Jesus sweat drops of blood, as depicted in the graphic above, that's not where the atonement took place. And too, this was a very dark time. But what do you see in the Mormon picture? You see glories streaming down from heaven.

Wrong.

And the point is?

I want Christians in America to know that the Jesus of the Bible is NOT the same jesus in the Mormon church. When Mormon Mitt Romney claims to believe in god, as he often says, he's referring to a completely different being, with completely different values. As his own prophet said, he doesn't believe in the traditional jesus. He uses our words, but he's speaking a different language. It would be correct to say he's speaking his father's language, for they both believe they can be like God.

Update: Those Mormons who imply I am lying—and thank you for making a rash judgement. You're obviously not reading any of this blog but just doing a "drive by" like the Liberal media—these Mormons make my point. Mormons use the same words as Christians, but mean different things. When they say jesus is the son of god, they REALLY mean he is a son. That their man-god came down to earth and had sex with Mary! They call their jesus "creator," but in fact, he is only an "organizer." Their jesus did NOT create the Universe out of nothing, as the Bible teaches (Hebrews 11:3)  but rather organized existing matter. And he had to have help at that! (Per the temple ceremony.)

Instead of quoting the party line, i.e. the Mormon church website, drinking the Kool-aid as a good cult member would, why not think for yourself? Check out what Christians are saying and see the differences for yourself. Then make up your own mind. Here's a fair and balanced list of the major differences in terminology between Mormonism and Christianity. (Scroll to middle of page.)

Don't vote for Mitt Romney. His god is not your God. Therefore, his values are not your values. Don't put a Mormon in the White House. Don't fall for the siren song.

Mitt Romney's brother spews the propaganda

a page from The Pearl of Great Price

An abomination in His sight.

(A mostly current version of a Mormon "scripture"
published by the Mormon church.)

Lying for the Lord?

Ed, a Mormon caller to the Hugh Hewitt show on Monday, March 26, made two (false) claims about the Mormon church. Whether he was lying, with the same forcefulness as Liberal Bill Clinton, or simply ignorant is impossible to know from the call. But neither is good.

The latter dovetails nicely with what a Christian caller said earlier in March during Mr. Hewitt's book promo, who said we Christians spend a lot of time educating Mormons about what their own church teaches.

Another characteristic of a cult: Keep 'em ignorant.

Here's a short clip of what Ed said. (22 seconds) See if you can spot the two errors. (Hint: See image above.)

Ye shall know the Truth...

It's fitting that the last part of Jesus' quote above is "and the Truth shall set you free." Let's see if we can set ourselves free from Mormonism.

For now I'm not going to document Ed's first error, about why Joseph Smith was shot. But it had NOTHING to do with religion. Nor was he martyred. (Martyrs don't shoot back!) Do a Google search and ignore the PBS mush. Joseph Smith was in jail for treason!

Denying the faith

Ed's second statement is the focus of this post. He said,

"The Mormon church publishes NOTHING—NO book, pamphlet, NOTHING—against another religion."

Oh yeah? Is Ed really ignorant of his own book of scripture? Or is he lying?

Search the 'scriptures'

Now, I don't believe anything Joseph Smith wrote was inspired by God. (Except the parts of the King James English Bible he copied verbatim into the Book of Mormon.) But Ed the Mormon does.

One of Ed's 4 books of Scripture is known as "The Pearl of Great Price," a short fictional history by Joseph Smith about how the Book of Mormon supposedly came about. For Ed the Mormon, this fiction is gospel. EVERY Mormon knows the story, just like every child knows about Santa Claus.

Remember, Ed said the Mormon church publishes NOTHING against another religion. But here's what Joseph Smith claims God told him in their own book:
I asked the Personages [these are supposedly God the Father, a mere man, and Jesus] who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right... and which I should join. [A silly question to begin with. If he had read the Bible, he would have known that on Judgement Day, Jesus isn't going to ask you what church you belonged to.]

I was answered that I must join NONE of them, for they were ALL WRONG; and the Personage who addressed me said that ALL THEIR CREEDS were AN ABOMINATION in his sight. that those professors were ALL CORRUPT...

What do you think of that, Christian? Are you offended? Did the founder of Mormonism just say something against your religion?

You Catholics are off the hook. Sort of. For if you read the page beforehand, you'll find that Joseph Smith had only investigated Methodist, Presbyterian and Baptist congregations. Still, the Mormon church says it's the one true church and has the keys to heaven. But of course the Catholic church says that IT'S the one true church and has the keys. One of you is wrong. (OR... maybe you're both wrong?)

I repeat: The question on Judgement Day will NOT be "What church did you belong to?"

Like a Liberal

It's clear that Joseph Smith attacked all of Christianity with those heady words that the rest of us, who believe in historical Christianity, are ALL CORRUPT. But in true Liberal fashion—and I've told you that Mormonism is inherently Liberal—Mormons fudge.

CULT WARNING AHEAD

Nowadays, Mormons won't come right out and quote their beloved "prophet." Instead, they'll spin. Do this test for yourself and see that Mormonism is a cult. Ask any Mormon if they believe what Joseph Smith said, that all churches are wrong. They all say the same thing. Here's what they'll say.

We believe that all churches have some truth.

Devilish

Oh. That's the same as saying all other churches are from the devil, because the devil always mixes a little truth with a lot of lie. And that's consistent with what Joseph Smith wrote in the Book of Mormon, that "there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil." (Quote from the current Book of Mormon.)

Oh. Isn't that another negative statement about other religions published by the Mormon church?

At least Joseph Smith was consistent in this. And more consistent than Ed, the current Mormon.

Cult Mentality

This is yet another reason you don't want to vote for Mormon Mitt Romney for President. Mormonism is a mind controlling cult. Mormons will often make statements with the force and conviction of Bill Clinton. Unlike Bill Clinton, they may really believe what they say in the same way little children will testify to you about Santa Claus. It comes from years of conditioning "bearing their 'testimony'" ad nauseam in the Mormon church. But they'll be just as wrong as little children and Bill Clinton in what they tell you.

Likewise, you can't believe what Mitt Romney says. More than the axiomatic "all politicians lie," it goes further. Whether he's lying for the Lord or sincerely ignorant doesn't matter. We're seeing the flip flops. For the most part, he won't be telling you the truth.

Don't vote for Mitt Romeny. Don't put a Mormon in the White House.

Mitt Romney, his church and money

The Mormon church sees dollar signs

A prophecy before General Conference
Unlike Joseph Smith and his civil war "prophecy,"
I'm making this one before the fact.
(If it comes true, does that make me a profit?)

The love of money is a root of all sorts of evil

I've written before that The Mormon church's General Conference—a biennial meeting in Salt Lake where Mormons get their marching orders from their "living prophet."—starts tomorrow, Saturday, March 31. If you're Christian and in the area, I strongly encourage you to stop by to pray and encourage the Christian Evangelists there. Meanwhile, I have a prophecy.

I prophesy that at least one speech during the Conference will be about money. Namely, that the Mormon church will act as though it doesn't have enough and specifically, that it's members have to tithe more.

It's not a hard prophecy to make. They do it every time. It's always about filthy lucre, isn't it. And mind control. Being a cult, they always have to keep you hopping. You can never do enough.

Throwing stones at glass houses (of worship)

Now, to be fair, the real Christian church has an unnatural love of money too. The Christian church in America is just like our government.. Neither has stayed focused on the few tasks assigned to it, as enumerated in their founding documents. (The Bible or the Constitution, respectively.) Instead, the church, like our government, has gone WAY beyond its God-given bounds. (Where, in the Bible, do you see a collection to pay off the mortgage? In fact, God is against borrowing!)

See Romans Chapter 13 for the short list of what God says civil government is to do. Remarkably, the Preamble to our Constitution echoes these few elements.

There are only a few financial provisions God calls the church body to make. The church is to provide for widows over 60, who have been in that church family, IF their natural families are unable or unwilling to take care of them. The church is supposed to provide for those who teach the Word, either missionaries sent out from that local body, or itinerant preachers who stop by, or elders who shepherd that flock. And that's it! (Individual believers are to champion the orphan, take care of the poor, seek Justice, etc.)

There is no such thing as a church taking a weekly "offering" in the New Testament, save for a temporary call for weekly contributions to help the poverty stricken church in Jerusalem. The Apostle Paul meant for that to be a temporary collection. But like a "temporarily" telephone tax dating back to the Spanish-American war, these collections almost never die.

Nor is there a "tithe" under the New Covenant, a fixed percent giving of your first fruits. That was for the Jews under the Old Covenant. Tithing was part of the law. A requirement. To not not tithe was to sin.

Now, you can still tithe if you still want to be under the law. But I have some bad news for you.. Christ will be of no value to you. (See Galatians 5:2)

No paid clergy?

I bring up money and the Mormon church because you can hardly find a Mormon blog where someone won't throw out the (incorrect) statement that the Mormon church has no paid clergy. Aside from the fact that that is NOT a Biblical requirement [in fact, the Apostle Paul said he had a right to be paid (1 Corinthians 9:4 through 14)], where do you think the Mormon living prophet (not to mention their 12 Apostles) gets all his money? He's like the catholic pope. Only richer.

Oh, sure, technically he may not get a check from the Church of Je$u$ Chri$t of Latter-day $aints proper. Instead, he is made a Board member of a bunch of church corporations. (Just like Mitt Romney when he got out of grad school.) But he flies around in church owned planes, has a church credit card, church expense account, etc.  You do know the main church business name is "The Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."

Really, the Mormon church is so big and has so many shell corporations, and has no oversight, it's a good bet their "prophet" and "President" IS paid by "the church" in one of its many manifestations.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

... all sorts of evil

And that was my main point. This is how Mitt Romney thinks. It's twisted. Which is a characteristic of being in a cult.

We can discuss later, why, Mitt Romney, like the Mormon church, is asking for money for his campaign when he already has a ton of money himself. He is a billionaire—with a "B"—you know.

Don't vote for Mitt Romney. Don't put a Mormon in the White House.
